With dawn of New Year everyone anticipates a fortune to happen, anticipations run high for growth, prosperity and Luck. But nothing changes for few people and with each passing day things gets rougher for those peoples.
With New Year set in there were many indicators to give us a glimpse of the future trends, indicating a not very promising and encouraging year ahead. Struggle for food, clothing and shelter will be there and common man will suffer in tug of war between the inflationary prices and affordability.
Indicator reflecting the affordability going down in the year 2011 being the high inflation figure; which is beyond anyone’s control. Globally prices of major commodities are surpassing all previous level indicating a tough time ahead.
Affordability for food, clothing and shelter is under pressure, Area under cultivation is falling rapidly on a yearly basis whereas cities areas are expanding exponentially. Housing societies are booming across; still affordable housing is far a sight.
Onion prices rising to an unprecedented level blame to crop failure or monsoon failure; days are not far away when you will find guests visiting you with 1 Kg of onion instead of sweets. Onion which was never as precious as today and if anyone finds an onion lying anywhere its money equivalent is 5 INR.
It is not Exaggeration if you find people exchanging onions instead of currency coins, if the prices of onion and other commodities continue to rise like this. Different types and sizes of onions and commodities will replace currency coins, Onion will be tagged for the prices and denomination depending on the size and quality and one can barter the purchase by exchanging commodities instead of real money
Milk prices are rising steadily and wherever affordability is a concern, it’s getting difficult for families to feed milk to there growing kids and elderly.
I never wished a New Year like this, better was 2007 where things were under control and affordability. Shouldn’t you wish for 2007 status quo and shouldn’t you wish for an Happy & affordable New Year
